Continuing with the book. I finally bought a copy for me! Working thru more of the carby and crunchy area and having a good time!

Recipe #7 Chili Crisp Tahini Pasta with Fried Shallots

We love us some chili crisp! This recipe definitely had some interesting ingredients! The tahini and chili crisp combo was great!

As usual I halved the recipe, and it still made 4 servings. It hurt a bit to use to much chili crisp but it worked out!

The shallot oil was interesting! Definitely frying the shallots was a tricky bit! I would cut them a bit thicker so they would not burn as quickly!

#8 Ssamjanh Aglio Olio

It was between this recipe and another with preserved lemons. I had ordered both the preserved lemons and the ssamjanh. Gotta love the crazy things that can arrive on your doorstop!

This recipe seemed quicker and easier.

As usual I halved the recipe and we got about 2-3 servings! Not sure if it was truley half a box of fettuccine, or less… it all worked out.

It was quite spluttery, glad I had put on an apron. This was a fun recipe and would make a great side dish with a nice steak or maybe some hot links

I first made this for the
