In my attempt to be better to the environment, ages ago I bought wool dryer balls to replace using dryer sheets and get our clothes less staticky and dryer faster!
Over the years, one pretty much fell apart and the others became a bit less tight, you could see the strands. I decided to order another set as well as researching how to make older balls get turned into newer versions of themselves.
I followed the instructions on Real Simple and went with the boil, air dry option with a final 3 rounds of high heat in the dryer.
I had little hope that this would work – but surprise surprise – IT DID!!
It does take forever to dry after the boil, i left then in the colander for 2 days and they were still very very wet! Totally worth the effort and space!
