I found this recipe a long time ago when i was trying to get the grime that builds up on top of your kitchen cabinets off. I have an open floor plan, so walking up the stair the entire tops are in view… not such a big deal till you decide to re-arrange your decorations that up there… ick… This stuff was like cement. I found this recipe and it was magical! It was early in my love affair with vinegar and this just added to solidify how amazing it was!
This cleaning solution is perfect for the stuff that won’t come clean. Most recently i brought this out to clean the caulk around my windows. We got new windows a couple years ago, and whatever brand of caulk they use attracts dust like a magnet. They were gross to say the least. I had tried some DIY grout cleaner and a magic eraser i had and that worked a little bit, but it was hard work. So i threw up my hands and pulled out the big guns! Again – this stuff is magical! I used an old toothbrush and it all came clean!
If you try, or have used this, leave me a comment and let me know how it went for you!
[buymeapie-recipe id=’35’] Pro tip: The other thing i did when i finished getting the top of my kitchen cabinets clean was to get some clear shelf liner and put that all along. As the planet is getting more and more destroyed with throw away items, this isn’t the most amazing option, but instead of replacing it every year, you can clean the liner itself, and it is easier to clean than the cabinets themselves.
