It was Muppet’s “gotcha day” or furever day anniversary! He doesn’t do great with large treats so i decided to choose a roll cookie and make him some mini’s
I pulled a new recipe that had been on deck, and of all things it was from TreeTop apple sauce company site. They have recently pulled it off the site, and now have a different one with chicken broth… i’m so intrigued…
Applesauce Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Tree Top or Seneca Apple Sauce
- 1/2 cups water
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons parsley
- 2 cups flour (up to 3 cups)
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup uncooked oatmeal
Instructions
- Blend liquid ingredients together well.
- Stir dry ingredients together
- mix with wet mixture until it forms a ball of dough.
- Roll out to 1/4-1/2 inch thick and shape into/cut with a cookie cutter.
- Bake biscuits in a preheated 400ºF oven on a non-stick baking pan for 20 minutes. Turn off oven and allow the treats to cool in oven until crisp and hard. (up to an hour)
Verdict:
This was a great recipe! The pups really enjoyed it and it allowed me to make tiny treats for the muppet!
It’s a one pan event, so i really like that as well!
